Mr. Heil is a native of Annapolis, Md. and attended Cornell University. Upon graduation from Cornell, Mr. Heil headed to New York City to attend graduate school at Fordham University. While studying at Fordham, Mr. Heil moonlighted as a waiter and bartender where he became captivated with the hospitality business. His studies in advanced economics would prove quite useful in the years to come. After a brief stint on a bond desk at Lehman Brothers, Mr. Heil chose to follow his entrepreneurial spirit and cobbled together a group of investors to purchase an old café on a moribund block on the Upper West Side, which he developed into the legendary 90’s saloon, Gentleman Jack’s.

            A string of successes led Mr. Heil to become a founding partner of LDV Hospitality. As a creative and operational force at LDV, Mr. Heil developed a slew of noteworthy concepts on a national level. Heil sold his stake in 2010 and joined longtime friends Paul Tully and Ted Kakoyiannis in a new venture that would combine his interests in hospitality and real estate development. The company focuses on projects along the Northeast corridor ranging from Connecticut to Delaware. Notable hospitality projects include Local West, Lucy’s Cantina Royale, Spice Finch, The Beer Garden at Shippan Landing, Constitution Yards and El Poquito.
